Supposedly, that is how Harness and Yoakum came to the South Branch of the Potomac and to the Moorefield area.R ----- Original Message ----- From: "Catbite" <bhaines@tje1.com> To: <WVHAMPSH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2000 8 36 AM Subject: Re: [WVHAMPSH-L] Capon Valley There is also Great CaCapon, WV., where there is a Pamoramic Over look that you can see Md., Pa., & WV mountains. Sidling Hill Mountain would be one of the Md. ones, but you can't see the Gap in the Mt. I would think that this Panoramic Over look would be in the Capon Chain of Mountains . You can get to Berkeley Springs this way. Becci Elaine D Tomkins wrote: > Flo, > > I haven't seen your question answered on the list (been away and now > playing catch-up). 3. There are Harness' here in Oldtown. Md. (across from Green Spring, WV) they are buried on their Plantation they had w/ slaves on the Potomac. Longs now own some of it. I lease the other part for my cattle. This is directly across from where the South Branch emptys into the Potomac, on Arnold Stickley road, with French's Neck being right up from it.
