I need some help. I gat a lot of info from geneology.com but don't know how to get ahold of the people who have more info on my family. Some are the decendants of Richard Templin, who was a son of Martin Shoemaker and Anna Purgett, the Jamie's Dennis Family Register, the Hamlin Family with ties to Jacob Purgett , and Geneology of the Folsom Family 1638-1939 2 volumes. If anyone can tell me how to get these from a library or by personal contact, please let me know. Thank you very much in advance. Diane Kleinke - Purgett

Looking for researchers with information on the following families. OFFUTT MAGRUDER HAGGARTY NELSON WILLIAMS 1784 Eleanor Magruder wed Paul Haggarty. She married Vincent Williams circa 1809 Upon her death she left to the children of Benjamin Nelson a portion of her estate. Benjamin Nelson wed Vallie Haggarty 1804. Believe Eleanor to be the dau. of Archibald and Cassandra Offutt Magruder. If you can expand on these families for me - I would be delighted to have any tidbit of info. Abraham Van meter married a Radcliff girl, dtr. of Benjamin Radcliff. They lived in Pickaway County, Ohio at the time of their deaths. Marriage may have taken place in Bourbon County, KY or even Ohio. They have many descendants in Pickaway County, including the current sheriff. Abraham settled what became Pickaway County in the late 1790's or early 1800's. Gary Radcliffe glradcliffe@aol.com

Have just received a little book "Virginia Publick Claims" and, having noticed various Vanmeter names listed recently, would like to share that listed in it are Abraham, Garret, Henry, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Solomon. This is evidently money owed to these people by the government for beef, flour etc. No genealogical info but it does place the people there at the time. Seems to be around 1781-82. PARKER of Hampshire County, VA. Since Nathaniel purchased land from a James ROGERS and his wife Martha, perhaps this is the ROGERS family we seek. Nathaniel paid taxes through 1793 after which he was in Sumner County, TN. Names of his sons were: John, Thomas, Richard, Isaac, Nathaniel, Aaron and Robert. All born in VA from his first wife, Ann or Elizabeth Ann ???some say Page, some Clayton, not proven.

These Hays/Hayes fellows seem so elusive and there are so many with the same names. Trying to find where Samuel Hays came from that was living in Union District, SC around 1836. He deeded land to his son Solomon around that time. Solomon was b. about 1804. Thanks. Jane in SC
