    3. I wonder if all the variations could be from the name "Audrey"? I can't find one named that, though. You might try dar.org for a free Patriot lookup on possible Rev'y ancestor. If he's listed with them, you could get copies of members' (i.e., descendants') applications that were based on his service. These often have a lot of genealogical info. ============================== Oddey is in the 1820 census with a large household also. Andy Merritt b. about 1795 and possibly wife, Lydia, and sons Adam and Jacob, at least. They were in 1850 census there. Need the parents of Andy/Oddey, who may or may not be the same person. 3. Hi Wayne, What is new on the cemetery project, or is it on a "back burner" for the time being. The last I heard from you, I believe you were considering property in Florida. Please bring me up to date on your plans and progress. Thanks. Wilmer L. Kerns -----Original Message----- From: R. Normally, I don't announce that I have transcribe and placed it out without personally going to the cemetery. But, I will be going on vacation for 2 weeks and won't have time to visit the cemetery and make corrections as well as make the additions to the listing. Hopefully, this will help someone do the research they want with what names Dan put in his inventory. When I get back in 2 weeks, I will finish the work by going to the cemetery. And at that time, since it is a big cemetery, anyone that is around on the day that I go, please let me know if you would like to help with the reviewing and walking among the ancestors of Hampshire County. I will see my emails tomorrow, but after that, I will be off the air. 3. Many of us have various resources that we're more than willing to use, to help people with their own research, but you need to include some dates with your names. ALL genealogical resources are limited to certain timeframes, and without some idea from you when your family members lived we would have NO idea of where to look for them. For any query, 3 elements are completely necessary 1) a complete name, both sur and given 2) a geographic location 3) some sort of date, even if approximate. I understood your intent, and I entered the portion of the list with the names I'm interested in. I appreciate your suggestion of a location for them. Jane, David, and Debra: Thank you for your help in locating Price.

In this website, it says, James Beggs was the son of Thomas Beggs and Sarah Barnes. Thomas died in 1780 and Sarah remarried to Stephen Ruddell(married a Mary Bird 1st, she also died about 1780). Some badly misspelt, but that's hardly an issue. (g) Paddytown is in present-day Mineral county, and you'll probably find more pertinent help over on that mail-list (because people who live in present-day Mineral or who moved out after Mineral was formed will look there first). There is some disagreement over whether it was part of Keyser. 1797 is a little earlier than previous references to it I've seen, though. I haven't checked into it, because, frankly, Mineral's Michelle's turf, not mine. Some of the names in that list, I know as Hardy county names; a couple I know as Allegany co MD; a few are still in Hampshire; the others are all Mineral co. From that observation, I'd put Paddytown somewhere in the vicinity of Hampshire/Mineral/Hardy connection. DISCLAIMER: In no way did I intend you to copy the entire list. I was looking for a few names -- 10 or 12, maybe -- that would be more telling than only one. Good luck.
