Hi, Valerie: As you may already already know, I have pretty extensive Civil War sections of my pages, particularly Marshall and Calhoun. Yesterday I added a new link to all of them and it will be The Civil War Medals of West Virginia...Where Are They? <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvmarsha/cwmedals.htm">The Civil War Medals of WV -- Where Are They? </A> With hosting the Marshall, Calhoun and Pleasants County WVGenWeb pages, and doing the new Wheeling Area Genealogical Society page and the Martins Ferry Ohio Historical Society page, I hope to be able to compile an extensive list. I would appreciate it very much if you will take a look at the page, pass the word, and participate in this project if you know the whereabouts of a WV Civil War medal. As you will see, I am NOT posting detailed personal information. One need not actually have possession of a medal.... knowing the whereabouts in a Hist/Gen Soc, museum, etc. is sufficient.
