    1. Re: [WVGREENB-L] Dixon, McClung
    2. Hi Sandy, Nice to hear from you. Sorry that it took so long to answer you. The spelling of Dickson/Dixon, is probably a difficulty in tracing the lines here. I am just getting started on this line. For starters though, I do find a Joseph Dixon married to a Nancy McClung. I do not have alot of the information recorded in my files, but should have more information in the McClung book and information that I have. Nancy is the dau. of James and Nancy Dickenson McClung. If you would like more information on Nancy, let me know and I will look it up. Nancy and Joseph Dixon/Dickson were married betw. 1791 and 1799. I do not have a source listed for that marriage date, but will probably find that it came from the McClung book. BTW, I looked in the McClung book. There are no children listed for Nancy and Joseph. The dates are because, the McClung book gives an either 1791 OR 1799 as a marriage date. Am sending this to the lists, in case anyone else might connect to this or have other ideas. I am back to Joseph Dickson (last name was spelled Dixon at times) who married Maratha Monroe. Paperwork at his death states parents as being Joseph Dickson and Nancy. Looking back I so far fine only that Joseph married to a Nancy. I find other Josephs but none so far married to a Nancy. My Joseph named his first son John which usually leads you to their father, only the 2 Johns I find that had sons named Joseph, both Josephs died young....so thats where I'm at. We are related to the Fleshmans and the Cavanaughs. Name is Sandy (Howard) Blanz. My mothers family is Dickson out of Kansas. >>
