Recently, I became interested in the Sigmon and Walker families through a query that I saw, which indicated that Walker family may have married Indian women. A Mary Lammone Sigmon was one of them. I spent a week researching that, as well as doing my newsletter :-)....and the consensus of opinion, at this point, is that it can not be proven that Mary did not have Indian Heritage. If anyone can document that information, will be interested in hearing more. I have researched some of the Sigmon line, which seems to relate to the Legg line, through a Melinda Burdette, who married William Sigmon Jr. I have more on the Sigmon line as relates to William Sigmon Jr. if anyone is interested. Melinda relates to Thomas LeggIV, who was the father of William H. Legg who married Susannah Vincent, of Greenbrier Co. The lineage is like this. Thomas Legg Elizabeth Legg Archibald Burdette Melinda Burdette m. William Sigmon Jr. Archibald is her father, Elizabeth is her grandmother, and Thomas would be her ggrandfather, if I have the lineage straight. I welcome corrections and additions. I have the Sigmon vitals information. Does anyone have the Burdette vitals, for Melinda and Archibald? Glad to share what I have. Happy Hunting.
