Joyce Cooper <[email protected]> Wow! You have 5 different guys with the name Thomas George. Your information should be very helpful to George investigators. Thanks for sharing it. Most of it is a generation or two later than the dates I am searcing for, but with the similarity of names, it would seem that they ought to be "family" in some way. [Now I have even more puzzles to fill in. (Grin)] You mentioned sources of information. Karen Kessler Cottrill has been very helpful, most of my information on William Carroll and Jane George comes from her and Cheryl McGraw. Yes, I did make a typo. Cheryl McGraw has proposed that Jane's father's name is Thomas George. I got so busy typing "thomas" that I accidently switched first names when I should have written William Carroll. The question I would like to re-phrase is, "Do we think William Carroll married twice and that one of his wives was Jane George?" W.L. Barker has pointed out a Jane George, the daughter of Richard George [1709-1773] and Elizabeth Ann Mayo [1716-1774] who were wed in 1734 in Middlesex Co, VA. With a little "push", we might estimate her dates to "fit." Juhling McClung
