    3. Hi Hal, Nice to hear from you. You know, I think we may be talking about the same James Jarrett, but sources differ, whether he is called James I, or James Sr. or now you call him James Jr. His wife, Elizabeth Griffith has been called, Elizabeth Griffy, Giffy etc. I found a source "DAR Patriot Index, which verifys the name as Elizabeth Griffy. The death date for the James Jarrett that most of our Jarretts descend with agrees with your death date for James "Jr.". Now perhaps you know something that some of us Jarrett researchers do not know. Currently, I am having a dialogue with several Jarrett researchers who are trying to find out the parents of James Jarrett, who married Elizabeth Griffy and Rosanna Vincent. One researcher is hot on a trail to prove that the parents came from PA. So far, that information has been elusive. I list James and Elizabeth's birth dates as abt. 1750, so your birth date could be correct. Do you have documentation to prove that of 1746? I have a death date for our Elizabeth Griffy of 1802. Does that agree with your information? I would think we are talking about the same people, just a little different spelling etc. You can find some more Jarrett deed info etc. on my Geocities site. Check the "Footsteps link", as well as the descendents link which is actually on Becki's site. You will reach that from my geocities site. It is a very early lineage from my beginning research so is very sketchy. I have quite abit on the James Jarrett line, including will information etc. I would be glad to fill in any info and send a genealogy report if we can agree that we are researching the same lines. Do you know your Elizabeth Jarrett's parents? I show several Elizabeth Jarrett's. Did she have other marriages that you know of? I have not identified her yet. BTW, my Jarretts were also from Greenbrier Co. WV. Capt. Robert Renick was killed around Purgatory Creek, Middle River, Augusta Co. VA. [Greenbrier Co.] I have sources if needed, and more of the story if it interests you. The George name is a family that I have been trying to piece together also, since it marries into some of the names that my husband is related to. The Vincent line, which relates to Jarrett and many other names, is actually my husband's, but I have become more interested in his lines, because they are easier to trace than my birth families. I notice that you speak of Jame's wife Elizabeth Griffy/Griffith. However, it has been pointed out to me, that both lines of children of James Jarrett are related through their relationship to some of the same people. The James Family married both lines of Jarrett. The Vincent family is related to Jame's second wife, Rosanna Vincent, as will as Elizabeth Griffy's children, because her son Owen Jarrett married Elizabeth H. Vincent, who was a sister of Rosanna Vincent, and they were both sisters of my husband's ancestor, Joseph Vincent Jr. You can find out more on the geocities site. Do you know the parents of Martha George? I would love to get the See family into my files, but at present, need a little more information. :-) What do you think. Are we talking about the same James?
