Yes, George Meadows was the son of Jeremiah Meadows by his wife Elizabeth Conley. George died sometime before 1840, and thus was dead before Jeremiah. George's daughter Isabella (b. ca 1823) has been often confused as the daughter of Jeremiah Meadows, probably because she appears ("Isabella and Melville Johnson") as one of the heirs in the bill of sale of the heirs of J. Meadows after Jeremiah's death. Since George was already dead, Isabella would have been a direct heir. Jeremiah's daughter Isabella (b. ca 1795) married Daniel Bragg.
