Hi Charlotte and List, There is no Ashby listed in the index for the Greenbrier Book. I see a Hawks listed on p. 106 of the book. I do not have that page. Perhaps someone who has the book, will look it up for you. Do you have any dates, locations etc. for them? Were they a married couple? I could try to look them up in other material, if I had a few more facts. :-) I assume that they were from Greenbrier Co.?
