Hi Sandra, The dates for the Callisons found on p. 41 of the Heritage Book, start before 1800. There seem to be another group of Callisons on p. 40, which I do not have. That info was submitted by Alice W. Callison and Gilmer W. Callison. Refferences "History of Pocahontes Co. WVA 1981". The info on p. 41 was submitted by Sue Callison, Written by Gilmer Callison. James Callison was evidently b. prior to 1800 because his will was dated 1807and proved in 1808 Graninger Co. Tn. It lists heirs. There is alot of Callison info, most of which is after 1800. Elisha Callison [1792-1852 m. Margaret Bright [Peggy] in 1821. One of their sons, Elisha Francis Callison, MD married Sarah E. Renick [Sally] Let me know if you want further info about the family. Another column lists Gilmer Woods Callison who was b. 1922 at Beard, WV. There is alot of info about him, as well.
