    3. Hello Bill and List, First off I am going to send this to the McClung list, in case anyone knows the story without my studying the records. (anything I can do to save time, means that much more time I have to do more lookups etc. :-) Then I need a better idea of a date, and perhaps something about Samuel, as there are quite a few Samuels. Is John's name Lawrence or Lowance. Just checking on the spelling. I have not heard of a surname of Lowance. Course that doesn't mean anything. There are alot of surnames that I have not heard of or studied. I will keep my eye out as I am researching, for these people. Is anyone else researching Lowance? Since you say he is a 4th great grandfather, I would assume that we are talking about the 1700's right?
