I find researching Osbornes is a tad confusing because (I believe) they liked two names so much that every son was named the same---George or John. According to my research my George Osborne was born in Greenbrier County (W)VA then moved to Kanawha and then to Roane County (W) VA. His birthdate, 1792 /m. Susanna Fleshman b. 1794 in. Monroe Co. (W) VA. Who George's parents were, I do not know. There is some indication Osbornes were of Norse origin, then to England etc. My Osbornes came to America ( three brothers) or at least that has been handed down generation to generation.
