Hello List...sometimes this gets very confusing to me especially when I subscribe to so many lists, as many of you do, and read double postings on the same family. I am not sure which list, if not both ( Greenbrier & McClung), that the message from Joyce in CA was asking about the parents of Anna? McClung who married Clark Deitz and were the parents of Beulah Deitz that married Clowny Romine Kesler. Both Linda Duffy and I answered Joyce's question. Linda and I both work the Kessler/Kesler line in WV. My information differs somwhat on the name of Beulah's Mother. I don't have her listed as Anna but as Etta. Etta Florida McClung b. 26 Feb 1862 Crawley, Greenbrier Co., WV d. 13 Feb 1950. She m. 4 Nov 1885 Hanseford Clarke Deitz b. May 1857. They lived on Turkey creek and later came to Sunday Road, Hico, WV. Their first home burned in the 1890's or early 1900's. Then they rebuilt their home which was standing in the 1990's and was owned at that time by the McCunes. REF: Some information from Fayette Co., WV 1900 Census Some information on this family from the book "The History of Sunday Road Baptist Church", by David Allen Sneed pastor and compiler July 1993, copyright 1996. Box 98, Hico, WV 25854 Marriage and other information The McClung Family Association Journal #IX, Sept. 1977 pg21 To continue---- Etta Florida McClung was the daughter of William Wallace McClung 1821-1887 and Harriet Eagle 1829-1898. William Wallace McClung was the son of James McClung 1770-1824 and Mary Alderson 1787-1870. James McClung was the son of William (Grandfather Billy) McClung. I hope this helps Joyce and anyone else that is working this line and I apoligize for the double posting and will try and pay closer attention from now on.
