Hi Karen, I don't have a clue about James, at this point. I show an Elizabeth Atkinson who married Owen V. Jarrett. She was b. abt. 1822. Delilah Atkinson b. 1820 m. Vincent Jarrett. Do they relate to your James? Are Delilah and Elizabeth related? I have a couple more Atkinsons in my files, if you are interested. I recently received information the following information from a kind gentlemen that now has given me a couple of more leads on tracking James! His full name was James Madison Atkinson. His tombstone indicates his birth date as 1821. He was buried August 2, 1883. His wife, Julia Ann McClanahan, born 1829, was buried Feb. 26, 1905. They are both buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Kanawha County, WV. I am hoping this new information my trigger some new responses that will help me find out who the parents of this James was.
