3. I am researching the line of William Davis, born in the 1780's and one of his sons is John Renicks Davis b.1809, another is George Washington Davis b. 1813. This William Davis & family was in Eden Twp., Licking County, Ohio by 1830. There seems to be a strong Claypool association also, with a lot of Claypool-Davis marriages. This association is with Aaron Claypoole's family. Aaron was b. 1780's, wife #2 and mother of his children was Elizabeth Shireman/Sherman. I want to know if any Renicks researchers are aware of this line, thinking that perhaps William's wife was a Renick(s) and John may have even been named after his maternal grandfather. This has been a brick wall for a long time so I'm going for the long shots now. Any help or clues greatly appreciated. Carolyn (Anderson) Clark in central Ohio Proud member of Rootsweb! Join Now! I am sending this to the lists in the hopes that | someone can be more specific about what they are. I have several bunches of | information including a copy of the Renick Book, and some Archer information, | which details things which were apparently part of the Draper papers. One | page indicates for example; | that it is a letter by James H. Renick, written to Draper in 1890. It is | number 4cc129-129-5, and there are indications that the part in the Archer | info, was microfilmed, and part of some Kentucky Papers. | It says "In Library of the State Historical Society, Wisconsin. Taken from | Photostat Copies at Kentucky State Historical Society, Frankfort, Ky. It was | contributed to the Archer Assoc. by Susannah Hart Shelby Chapter, Frankfort, | Ky. " Various other sources also reference this information. Hope this | helps. Your information is in the mail, Stephanie. | Happy hunting, | Joyce in Ca. | Our Extended Family | | | | In a message dated 6/22/99 6:01:25 PM !!!First Boot!!!, [email protected] | writes: | | << Subj: Re: Hamilton Papers | Date: 6/22/99 6:01:25 PM !!!First Boot!!! | From: [email protected] (Stephanie Labert) | To: [email protected] | | One more question.
