Hello everyone, I have been researching in the realm of Legan/Legon Hughart who married Martha Frances Walker. An Elizabeth K. Hughart, who was a sister of Legon's, married James A. Walker. Both are children of James A. Walker and Nancy Legg. I just tied them together as siblings, this morning, thanks to verification from the work of Richard Legg. I found a very interesting article in the "Greenbrier Co. WV. Family Heritage Book", today, concerning the family of Legon Hughart. His name is spelled Legon there, though I have seen it spelled Legan. The siblings and parents of Legon, as well as children of Martha Frances, and Legon Hughart are given. Clyde Leonard Hughart, who is evidently grandson to Legon's son Joseph, did the report. It was based on an interview with Sarah Hughart, dau. of Legon. She was almost 100 years old in 1980. I have updated my FTM with the information, and would be glad to send the information to you, if you let me know that you are interested, via a gedcom or FTW. Could also do a "genealogy report, rtf if that is preferable. It seems easier to do it that way, than to write the article. A cute story in the article concerns the fact that Sarah asked Legon, her father, if she could accompany him on his trips to Greenbrier Co. to see his relatives there. She was told that she could not go, because she might "get briars in her feet". Talk to you later, Joyce in CA. Our Extended Family
