Hi Lisa, I don't have access to the 1860 census, but have an 1850 VA census cd. Did not find Jacob, as you probably know. We found five John Vias in there. The John Via in Hanover Co. is a child living with an Anderson family. There is another John Via in Hanover Co., VA There is one in Nelson Co....One in Albermarle. John Via Jr. is in Franklin co. as is John Via Sr. If you are interested in any more about these Johns, let me know.
