Hello List, I am looking for any information about MCDOWELL and DAVIS families who were early settlers in Greenbrier or Monroe County. William MCDOWELL moved to a region around Second Creek sometime before 1750, and died there about 1796. His son Archibald MCDOWELL was born 1750-55, married Catherine DAVIS in 1780, and he too farmed in the region until his death in 1813. I would very much like to hear from anyone who is interested in or has information about these families. Any info, advice, suggestions will be gratefully accepted. Thanks, David
