    1. [WVGREENB] Looking for SHUMATE - HOBBS - SCOTT - WHITMAN researchers.
    2. Anyone here researching these families in Greenbrier County? If so, can you possibly tell me what John Shumate, James O. Hobbs, Andrew M. Scott and James Whitman's relationship (family or professional) was to Henry and/or Cain HOOVER in Greenbrier County during the 1835-1860 period? I spent three days in the Chancery Records in Greenbrier County last week...and those records are gold mines for genealogy information...and was told by the staff that very few researchers come there....not in the quantity they do to the County Clerks office. The above and Henry appear on several Chancery Records together? And it was repeatedly documented for different things. Also a George P. Hoover? And I can't seem to connect him to my Henry and Cain.... I have came to the conclusion that my Henry originated the term "Habitual Offender" in the Greenbrier County Judicial System LOL Think he was there enough that the post office probably delivered his mail there. Mentioned to the clerks there that I had not been able to find his death record or a place of burial...and was afraid maybe the last time he was arrested they forgot about him...and the girls said maybe that was what was under the lump in the floor in the sheriff's office LOL Thanks for any help or leads.... Vivian
