I am trying to locate people who lived in Gardner, WV somewhere between 1880 and 1940. Not sure to date which county I need to be searching. Trying to learn about the town of Gardner and wanting to read the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census but not sure which District Gardner, WV would be in -- either Greenbrier or Mercer. Wanting to learn about churches and cemeteries/grave yards in and around Gardner, WV Also want to learn if there is printed census in book form for Mercer County, W V and Greenbrier County, W V. County Seat of Princeton for Mercer County - is there a good library or genealogical society? County Seat of Lewisburg for Greenbrier County - is there a good library or genealogical society? Or would I be searching from Beckley, WV library?
