1. [WVGREENB] Re: [WVNICHOL] Virus Reply; Judith McClung got HIT earlier today!
2. Peggy, This wasn't likely intentional. And it was NOT Chester Boggs who sent it to you. I "also" received one from a Lowell Jarrett. There was no text describing the download. So I checked him out first. He was found in many geneaology quieries. I assumed SAFE & downloaded too! THE BAD NEWS (but GOOD NEWS to FOLLOW) is that Judith McClung of Judith & the Ozarks got "hit" by a virus earlier today. It retrieved her e-mail address book & has apparently been sending e-mails from her address books, e-mails from following address books, & so on, hitting many of us in an attempt to spread this virus: Subj: Re: (no subject) Date: 11/28/01 8:02:40 PM Eastern Standard Time From: jmcclung@cland.net To: MagicRainSelect@aol.com Sent from the Internet (Details) I'm sorry. I was hit by W32BadTrans.mm virus this morning. It sent itself out to many on my address list. Do not shut down your computer until you learn which file to correct. Immediately update your Anti-virus. This is a bad one. I spent several hours today getting my computer cleaned out and up and running again. My son had to walk me through it on the phone. At first my Anti-Virus stalled on the update. This is a bad one. THE GOOD NEWS IS: that you may go to: www.pc-cillin.com for a FREE ANTI-VIRUS against this "worm" virus. Please note that I've done such & despite the facet that I downloaded, I wasn't "infected". Best Wishes to All! 1. [WVGREENB] HUGHART and related families
2. Cindy Hughart
3. The Hughart Genealogy What I Know August 2001 Cynthia M. Hughart My father, Richard Kenneth HUGHART was born Oct. 5, 1924 in Caldwell, ID to Earl Curtis HUGHART and Lenna MCKAGUE. Earl and Lenna were divorced, and she remarried John BRUS. (She also changed her first name at that time to Dolores.) John and Dolores had no children. Lenna's parents were Wesley John MCKAGUE of Canada and Alice KINRADE of the Isle of Man. My great grandfather, Samuel Curtis HUGHART was born Dec. 21, 1872 in Warren or Madison County, Iowa and married MaryJoan HUMERICK. They eventually migrated to Idaho. Their children were Earl, Zeta, and Calvin. Samuel's brother Charles married Mary Joan's sister Emma HUMERICK. My great, great grandfather, Young Alexander HUGHART was born in Adair County, KY in 1845. He moved to Iowa in 1860 with a large group of people including his father, Rev. Campbell HUGHART (United Brethren of Christ) who had strong anti slavery sentiments. Some of the other surnames of families leaving Kentucky with them were: BLAIR, BREEDING, ARMSTRONG, TURK, CARTER, and others. Young Alexander HUGHART married Hannah Maria SHANNON and their children were Samuel, Edna, and Charles. Young Alexander's sister Mary Eliza HUGHART married Hannah's brother, Samuel Enoch SHANNON. Campbell HUGHART was born in Adair County On Dec. 3, 1812. He married Mary Ann BLAIR (b. Dec 3, 1812) on Dec. 17, 1835. Campbell is listed as Rev. in the United Brethren of Christ Church. Campbell died in Iowa in 1890 and Mary in 1901. Their children were: Sarah Jane; James Milton; John Blair; Young Alexander; Mary Eliza; Melvina Elizabeth; Eliza Almarise; William Marion; and a Belzona is listed but I believe she is actually Sarah Jane's daughter. What I don't have primary documentation for - but these are some of the possibilities: I'm pretty sure that Campbell had two siblings: Young HUGHART( b. June 17, 1809) who married Nancy CHAMBERS, Rhoda BUTLER, and Sarah FAULKNER with whom he had a son named John WISDOM HUGHART. Campbell's sister, Sarah HUGHART (b. Dec. 8, 1814) married John DENUMBRON. If this is true, it seems that their mother was a Mary (Polly) Clark BALDRIDGE/ALDRICH born in Rutherford County, NC c. 1795. One source cites her as the daughter of Agnes HUGHART ( But another source just says "daughter of Agnes"?). And this source also lists Mary as the first purchaser at the HUGART estate sale in Jan. 1817 of a John HUGART who died in 1816. Mary married James WISDOM on Aug. 5, 1817, and they have at least 6 children together: E.L.; Kathy Ann; Joseph S.; Mary C.; Elizabeth Jane; William L. In the 1850 census of Adair County Mary is shown age 55 with James age 68, and two of their children, but by 1860 she is no longer shown with James so I presume that she died between 1850 and 1860. John HUGHART shows up in the Green County, KY Census of 1800 and the Adair County, KY Census of 1810, but not in 1820 which makes sense given the information above. There is a John on the 1802 & 1810 Adair Co. tax lists; 1804 land survey. A John HUGART was appointed Justice of Peace in Adair Oct. 5, 1807. From Green Co. Deed Book: John HUGART of Green Co., KY appoints Wm. HUGART of Greenbrier Co., VA/WV his Power of Attorney..May 19, 1799. But there are other John's in KY at that time and a John in Greenbrier; I'm sure he ties into the Greenbrier VA/WV family but I can't figure out which one. I have a copy of the will of a James HUGHART of Greenbrier dated 1789. In it he lists a son, John among many other children and a wife, Agnes. I have a copy of another will of a James HUGGART (August Co., VA) dated 1767 in which he mentions a son, James, a wife, Agnes and others, but I can't read all of it. There were several James Hugharts over the years and at least a couple o! f Johns, so it's a matter of tying down "the one" with documentation. So far most of my sources are secondary. At least twice people have sent me information that Mary Baldridge's husband was Young HUGHART.?? What I need: Birth records for Campbell, Young, and/or Sarah HUGHART. Marriage record for Mary C. and John Hughart. Birth record for John Hughart probably in Greenbrier Co., VA/WV. Any information on Mary Clark Baldridge and James Wisdom's family lines. What I can share: I have man photos dating back to the Civil War for many of my family lines. I also have lots of documented and undocumented data on some famlies; I would be happy to send what I have or scan photos for anyone interested. HUGHART/HUGGARD/HUGART/HAGGARD

1. [WVGREENB] Marriage Look Up Request
2. Thank you! I am seeking a marriage that should have transpired shortly before 1902 (Eleven children born from 1902 thru 1924). The couple was William Wallace Quick & Nancy ______(unknown) Quick. (We are "very anxious" to learn Nancy's maiden name!!!; and/or the name of her parents if listed. She may have been a minor when she married). Nancy (Unknown) nee Quick was born in Pool, WV on 15 APR 1877. We're not sure about William Wallace Quick. We know that Nancy's father moved them to Greenbrier County prior to the 1888 Snow storm. Nancy nee Quick attended the Anderson's School House where Granville Anderson & Mrs Sena Burns taught (Mrs. Burns was the mother of Mrs. Beatrice Burns Harvey, visiting teacher for the Greenbrier Co. Schools. Mrs. Burns died in February, 1965 at the age of 97). Nancy moved atop Muddy Creek Mountain (Lewisburg), when Nancy was age 25. We know that William Wallce Quick passed in 1954, and Nancy Quick passed in 1978. Both are buried at Roach Cemetery (suspect location - atop Muddy Creek Mountain). We also know that the family was very poor & doubtful that they would have ventured past Nicholas or Greenbrier Counties to marry. Thank you! Most Sincerely, Sandra Humphries Raedel
