    1. [WVGREENB-L] Robert White mar. Ruth Wade
    2. Joan Meister
    3. My gr-gr grandparents, Robert and Ruth (Wade) White were living in Alvon, Greenbrier Co., WV, when my great grandfather, John Franklin White, was born on 9 May 1855. John moved west to Missouri where he married and raised his children, but he left at least one sister in West Virginia. I unfortunately don't have her given name or her married surname. My great aunt says John's sister was still in West Virginia when they lived in Laclede Co., MO, that the aunt had her son farming the property that was left to both her and John and that John signed over his share of the property to his nephew. I would like very much to know if there are a Robert and Ruth White buried in West Virginia, when they died and where they are buried. I'm slowly finding little pieces to the puzzle and would appreciate any information anyone might have. Does Greenbrier Co. have their census records printed in booklets by chance? Are there cemetery books which can be purchased? Thank you so much!

I would appreciate it very much if you will take a look at the page, pass the word, and participate in this project if you know the whereabouts of a WV Civil War medal. As you will see, I am NOT posting detailed personal information. One need not actually have possession of a medal.... knowing the whereabouts in a Hist/Gen Soc, museum, etc. is sufficient.
