    1. [WVGREENB-L] Zickafoose - Harvey
    2. Betty Allen
    3. Hi, Is anyone on this list researching the Zickafoose who married Blanche Harvey. Blanche was the daughter of Henry Clinton Harvey who married Sarah Frances Henson ca. 1869 in Greenbrier. Sarah Frances Henson was the daughter of William R. Henson & Margaret? Claypoole. I am primarily interested in the Harvey line of the family, i.e. parents of Henry Clinton & Harrison Harvey: Frederick Harvey m. 1843, Margaret Brown, in Greenbrier County. Thanks, Betty

I am not sure if she might be a Mrs. Legg.. I thought I had a pretty complete Legg list, but don't find her. Can anyone help? I would be interested in knowing if anyone has her, as well. Sometimes I just forward the query and don't really have an interest in the surname which is being researched. I am interested in learning about this one, if anyone knows her. 2. Hello everyone, I finally found some Zickafoose that my husband is related to. Shows if you persevere long enough you will find that connection or relationship. [See the information for Henry Wilson Zickafoose.] I just finished merging a bunch of Zickafoose stuff from Ellen etc. but wouldn't you know that I can't connect these Zickafoose to the line which goes back to early 1700. The parents for Henry Wilson Zickafoose are supposed to be J.L. Zickafoose and Gladys? This part of the Zickafoose information comes from Richard Legg. Is anyone familiar with these people and might be able to give me a lineage for Henry? I believe I can trace the Legg connection for this marriage back to Susannah Vincent who m. William Legg. Though these people are from Kanawha Co. I know that there are a bunch of Zickafoose researchers in Greenbrier Co., so am forwarding this to them, as well. 1. Re: Joseph Vincent Sr.'s Brother John
    2. Hello Jim, Unfortunately, this information is extremely sketchy. I have some information from a Vincent Update Book, which Imogene Vincent compiled in 1986. Outside of that, I have not found out any more. I happened to notice that I don't have a county listed for Greenville, VA. That might be an interesting clue, if we could find that out. I am sending this out to some other researchers, in case anyone has more to add to this information. There are so many John Vincents of that era, that it is hard to know if one of their lines may connect. Descendants of John Vincent Generation No. 1 1. JOHN2 VINCENT (VINCENT1) was born 1750 in Scotland/Ireland1, and died 1788 in Greenville, Va.1. Notes for JOHN VINCENT: Is this the John Vincent who rescued and married Nancy Renick according to report in the Renick Book? This Nancy was sister of Robert Renick who was reported to be father of the Nancy who married John Frazier Vincent, according to other Vincent reports?? More About JOHN VINCENT: Will: 1788, Joseph Vincent Sr. was mentioned in his will.1 Endnotes 1. Imogene Vincent, 1986 Vincent Family Book. I find researching Osbornes is a tad confusing because (I believe) they liked two names so much that every son was named the same---George or John. According to my research my George Osborne was born in Greenbrier County (W)VA then moved to Kanawha and then to Roane County (W) VA. His birthdate, 1792 /m. Susanna Fleshman b. 1794 in. Monroe Co. (W) VA. Who George's parents were, I do not know. There is some indication Osbornes were of Norse origin, then to England etc. My Osbornes came to America ( three brothers) or at least that has been handed down generation to generation.
