    1. LOGOS on Ballot!

    3. To All SEMA CC's: A VERY IMPORTANT issue, that will directly affect all of us as county hosts is on this years ballot and that is the selection of new logos for The USGenWeb Project. The Advisory Board took a poll several months ago and it was narrowly decided that we should have 4 logos instead of one and that a contest would be held to select the new logos. Before you make your selection of a logo take a few minutes and think about what a logo should be and all of the places that it might be used. This new logo will likely be used for many years. Think about how the logo will look not only on your website but on a brochure, a business card or possibly on television. There are many entries but in my opinion there are only a few that meet the criteria of a clear, bold professional logo that a project of our status should have. So look at them all before you vote, think about how they will look on your website and then write down your selection before you go to the ballot to vote. If you know any graphics professionals - get their advice on how these will work on our websites if they are resized or if they are used in print. Go to the USGenWeb Project pages and see how your choice will look on those pages along with the newly designed banner - http://www.usgenweb.com/index.shtml The logo entries are found here http://usgenweb.org/logos/index.shtml The EC has pointed out in their messages that you MUST write down the numbers of the logo you select before opening your ballot as you may NOT be able to return to the ballot if you go back to take a peek at the logos again in the same browser window. PLEASE be careful about this as you don't want to be shut out of voting on the rest of the ballot if this occurs. The EC volunteers who can help you if you have any problems or questions are: Deb Haines - ilgrundy@earthlink.net for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee. and Nola Duffy - nduffy@patch.net for D.C., Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia I would also be glad to answer any questions you have or try to direct you to the correct person. PLEASE VOTE!! Linda Blum-Barton SEMA CC Rep -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.8.8/36 - Release Date: 7/1/2005
