Les Hi, I'm Suzanne Shephard and as a candidate for the Southeastern/Mid-Atlantic County Coordinator Representative, I would like to have your vote! I am a county coordinator of six county sites in Kentucky and one in Virginia and am a past coordinator with GAGenWeb. I am list mom for two mailing lists, and two message boards and I am the coordinating chairperson for the KYGenWeb Records Repository. I am a CC through and through --- I want to represent my fellow coordinators on this Advisory Board and use my many years of working as a CC volunteer to make sure our focus is on the true backbone of this organization, the County Coordinators of the USGenWeb. I believe in honesty, integrity, communication and fairness and I feel that I can make a difference by bringing these qualities to the table of USGenWeb. I firmly believe that we need to get back to the basic premise of this project and that the county coordinators are, in fact, the backbone of the USGenWeb. We have strayed away from the fact that the CCs in this project are volunteers. We do this because we love genealogy. And we have allowed this project to become more like a business led by a small group instead of being led by the coordinators that make the project possible! § If I am elected, I promise to always keep the best interests of my fellow coordinators in front of everything else. § I will always do what ever is in my power to competently and honestly represent you. § I will always listen to your suggestions and I will ask your opinions. They matter! § I will always keep an open communication between myself and my fellow CCs. § I will always do my best to serve you and preserve the ideals that created this project. § All projects such as this one must have rules. And I will always work to make sure these rules help and not hinder our abilities as coordinators.
