    3. Hello All, I do not usually voice my opinion on the topics of the WVGenWeb Project because I started out to just see what I could do with the Mason County site. It was a pleasure to add the information and work with the people regarding their connections with Mason County. But for the last year, I have not had the time to volunteer for additional information. I still have a ton of info to add to the site and would like to do so. My friend and I started our own business here in Apache Junction, AZ and we work 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week, so my history and genealogy stuff has been on the back burner for that time. Anyway, my reason for writing this e-mail. Les, you have always been wonderful as our State Coordinator and I would not like to see you give that up. Secondly, this bit about incorporation in any form, sounds more like a business to me. Over the last 20 years or so, I have been involved with a 501(3)C group and we spent most of our time trying to raise money to keep the organization going. I firmly believe that genealogy and history information should be free. We pay enough when we research our families to get the original copies so that we can PROVE our information. We pay it in copying fees, postage, travel, film and developing, time, paper (even though this is becoming "a paperless society" we use more paper than we did before computers), hotel stays, and a lot of other ways. I did join Ancestry.com for a while but, just did not have the time to make up for the cost of a membership. When time is limited the cost can be just too much, especially when the funds in the pocket are low. Thanks for listening, Suzie Crump Coordinator Mason County WVGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvmason/mason.htm ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to WVGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
