Good job, Linda!! I'm sure you know that you have grounds for a suit. http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sec_17_00000512----000-.html the laws are just vague enough that it wouldn't benefit you if their pockets are deep enough... But a 'Stop and Desist' order is generally enough to make a server think twice about hosting them. Sometimes a simple notification to the ISP that it has infringing content on its servers is enough to do the trick. .Ancestry might just be large enough to own its own server for all I know tho... You should register the copyright to your website immediately - <sigh> I suppose we all should... That's about $30.00 if you do all the work yourself. Don't know about everyone else - but I don't know which hurts more - the time involved - or the price - After I pay for the server and the domain names, etc. etc. every year, I realize I am not a webmaster - I'm a webslave.... Anyway - well-written, and you should be proud! fran On 8/27/07, Lesley L Shockey <LesShockey@wildblue.net> wrote: > > Ah that does make a difference.
