I've got two: First in re the immediate issue... That the current Article X which currently reads: "ARTICLE X. COPYRIGHT Section 1. In The USGenWeb Project, copyright of websites resides solely with the creator of the web page(s). Their inclusion as part of The USGenWeb Project does not give any irrevocable right, implied or otherwise, to The USGenWeb Project to permanently use the material. ...etc..." Move to amend such that said article shall read: "ARTICLE X. COPYRIGHT Section 1. USGenWeb Project volunteers shall not violate the copyright or intellectual property rights of others, nor shall they in any other fashion violate current US law. Section 2. Any volunteer caught violating current US law will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency for prosecution. " Ought to cut down on the liberal interpretations of "fair use". And 2: "A Resolution of Intent: Resolved: that any USGenWeb Project volunteer/member may make no more than three (3) motions during his/her association with the Project and Resolved: that no more than one (1) motion from any single volunteer/member shall be entertained in one calendar year." Might not stop the stupidity, but it'll sure slow it down. Cheryl WVHAMPSH -- There should be no attachments on this message, unless I specifically mentioned them above.
