I will be out of contact until August 4, 2007 on a week of vacation. Mike Peterson will be acting NC in my absence and can reach me if needed. The advisory board will continue in exec session and on ABChat on the CC Guidelines. I urge all project members to provide input into these Guidelines remembering that they are not written to expand the authority of the AB or SC's, but to identify those items which are required under the by-laws, to provide definition and expectations, and to provide information that will guide new CC's to creating their first USGenWeb site. Those members who have been with the project for some time know what our users want to see. The recommendations in the guidelines are considered 'best practices' for webpages and should reflect the needs of our audience - the good people who use our sites for their research.
