    3. WOW! Seems like just last year you said she was off TO college. Give her our congratulations! Since you still use your bag -- how often can I wash it before the logo starts fading real badly? Or do I really really have to wash it the way my uncle washed his seaman's cap when he was in the Navy? Cheryl Patricia Viellenave wrote: > Thanks Les glad you keep a record of it. 3. Thanks Les glad you keep a record of it. I am sure if I dug enough I would find the paper work I have. Cheryl I also still use my tote bag they are real handy. My daughter I had with me was Ashley of which she just graduated college with her 2 Bachelors Degree. She how smart these youngsters can be when growing up in cemeteries, court houses, attending Historical conventions and helping out in a Historical Society. Ashley every once in awhile asked if I hear from Cheryl as she remembers talking with her husband at that conference for many years. 3. Oh, yeah, GREAT party ... what I remember of it, at least? ;) At least we could stagger back to the motel on foot ... Pat and her daughter were there, Becky, Les, the two-of-us, and some other folks seated further away from me and a couple who came in late, none of whose names I caught that night? And I'll have y'all know, I still use the tote bag -- it went to Paris with us last fall. (g) Cheryl Lesley Shockey wrote: > Hi Pat, > > How does July 11th and 12th 1997 sound? 3. It is hard to believe we have been at this for 10 years and how many things have improved over those ten years. I will be up there August 8th and be leaving about Sept 7th. HCPD 25th Annual gathering is Aug 9th-12th [working each day] Jubilee Aug 31st - Sep 4th [I work this one day not sure which as yet] My Haymond Family Reunion Sep 3rd Sep 4th will work for me and my husband or any of the other days not already taken. I sure hope we can work something out would be great to meet the new faces that have come on board and re-new those of us who last meet what 9 years ago, Les you should remember what year think we were all down at Charleston for a conference and had together for dinner. 3. Wow, I've only been at this for 7 years, but it's amazing how quickly time flies! I really wish that I could be part of a gathering, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it back home any time soon. With four young kids, school starting mid-August, and living in Arkansas, it's just impossible right now:) It's a wonderful idea, though, and I hope that I'll be able to make it in the future! ~Cathy Harrison County ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lesley Shockey" <LShockey@citynet.net> To: <WVGEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2006 7:53 AM Subject: [WVGEN] 10th Anniversary of the WVGenWeb Project > Hello WVGenWeb CCs, > > We as a Project have been on line now for ten years. 3. Hi Les, You're right, it usually is quite crowded every day of the event, and it is also spread out over many acres. With it being less than 3 months away they probably have all the little cottages and meeting rooms in the larger buildings already reserved since they plan this event every year. Since it is such a popular yearly event, I guess I was hoping that some of the county coordinators who are West Virginia residents and who were already planning on going to Jackson's Mills sometime during the four days, that maybe we could try to make it on the same day. If you don't already have a place and approximate date in mind, perhaps we need to get more feedback from some of the other county coordinators on when and where would be convenient for all. I do think it would be great to meet some of the other CC's and you. It has indeed been a pleasure working without the controversies that oft times plague groups this large. I think it would be great if we could have a family style picnic or other gathering of all of our Project members and their families so that we could get to know each other better. Again my thanks to each of you for all you have accomplished.
