Hello, This past weekend I was on Beury Mt. (go to Thurmond and up, up, up) looking for a cemetery. I have searched for this cemetery for 30 years but this time I was lucky. A young man who lives in Thurmond in the blue house has a bicycle shop in the old post office in Thurmond. He told me that every year there is a reunion of Beury Mt. descendents. Also he told me how to find the cemetery. Go five miles up the road, County Route 25, until you reach a white house on the left. Turn in the driveway of this house and go past the house, thru a field and into the woods. Behold! The cemetery! Cleaned and mowed with every stone visible. I was able to go right to the stones of my great aunt and great uncles who had died on Beury Mt. in early 1900's. The uncles were killed in the mines and the aunt died of appendicitis. Now my questions.....does anyone know the name of the person who lives in the blue house and has the bicycle shop? Also I would like any information about the reunion? I hope this helps anyone else who may have looked for this cemetery. Linda
