Hello, Is there anyone on the list descended from or have information concerning Thomas Scott and Ruth Via? They came from Franklin Co., VA, in the early-mid 1870s and settled at Mulberry. Their children: James W., born 1873 Ulysses Grant, 1876 Virginia, 1878 Edward, 1880 (died 1882) Robert, 1880 (died 1882) John, 1882 Isaac, 1883 Mary F., 1886 Ruth apparently died and Thomas married Sarah Bright in 1889 (per Shuck). Their children (per census 1900): Eliza, 1890 Eunice, 1892 John, 1893 Augustus, 1894 Rosa, 1895 Jesse, 1897 Charles, 1899 (I've only looked through 1900 so far, so there may be more) James W., son of Thomas and Ruth, born 1873, lived at Mulberry and North Page at least through 1920: --married Martha "Mattie" ______ ca1895 and had children: Ulysses Grant, 1896 John Chester, 1898 Unnamed, May 1900-died before 1910 Everett, ca1907 Ethel, May 1909 Ruby, ca1913 Quilla (male), ca1916 Thanks for any and all assistance!!
