Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me about a house I read about recently. In a book entitled, A Pictorial Guide to West Virginia's Civil War Sites, I came across a picture with a caption that read "Walker Homestead, on country Route 11, about three miles southeast of Lookout, off U.S. 60. This house, which is on the original James River and Kanawha Turnpike, was used as a headquarters by both Federal and Confederate troops in 1861. It is now abandoned." Does anybody know anything about this house? Which Walkers lived there? Thanks for any information! Susan Lindsay
