    2. "In 1798 Andrew Lykens, of Kanawha county, purchased 100 acres, the lower half of this survey, from Collins. In 1807 he bought the other 100 acres, the upper half." Then says he sold the lower half to his brother, John, and increased his own holdings to almost 500 acres with purchases from a Jesse Buffington. It mentions a wife, Rebecca and in 1836 Andrew and Rebecca Lykens moved to Randolph Co., Indiana conveying 193 acres to John Lykens, Jr. and in 1842 Andrew sold 213 acres to Rich Woodrum. It talks about John Lykens and wife Polly. John died about 1824. Then it mentions that Andrew and John were probably from around Ansted and before that from Botetourt Co., VA. Their name was also spelled Lynkins. Hope this was helpful. Susan
