I found some information on my Lively relations who lived around Paint Creek in this book. Darlington's other book, A Record of the Early Settlement of Lower Loup Creek Fayette County, WV 1798 - 1865 lists about 75 surnames and gives a rich history of the Loup Creek area but does not include Paint Creek, Town Creek, or the Horse Creek area that my family is from. It summarizes in brief the first settler, first land owners, first mill and schoolhouse, etc. , and similar topics at the end of the book. The book itself is 68 pages long. Susan
