Last evening I subscribed to the 1920 census on Ancestry.com. After access to the census I discovered that there is no index of individuals. When I called Ancestry this morning to request a refund I was informed that there is no refunds for their online services. So it is another case of buyer beware. I was shocked to find that Ancestry had such a policy. Every other genealogical company that I have dealt with has a return policy and is more than happy to issue a refund. I will never deal with Ancestry again. Once burned, well you know the rest. Best Regards, Sandy Spradling
Thanks so much for your information on Ancestry, I was just about to upload my 13,951 ancestors to their site. Any suggestions on a site that is free to all? Not in 1850 Fayette Co. census. I only have 1850. Linda
Jeannette, Thanks for the flood information. I, for one, have been very concerned about several people in the area and have not been able to get much information. I'm sure a number of people on the list will appreciate this information, too. Carline cagee@ntown.net
Thanks TJ, but now I think it would be the 1920 for Kenneth specifically. If in 1900-19100 it would be for HENRY S or PEARL HAMILTON. Thanks for the allcensus... To the list I believe that this message is of value to many of the listers regarding the flood here in southern West Virginia. The Register-Herald newspaper is almost entirely flood related stories this morning. For those of you who do not live in the area and subscribe to this newspaper, you can read about it on their web site which is www.register-herald.com The devastation is great, in property damage, and we are all fortunate that only one person was killed. There could have been many more. I personally have lived in the Oak Hill area all my life, and never seen anything like this. I apologize to the list manager if this message is inappropriate for this list. Hi Sandy Hamilton. You can buy Fayette county census CD's at www.allcensus.com. Each CD has scanned images of each page of the census, but with no index. If you want to find someone you have to look through each image. There is a lot of info in these images if you have the time to dig through them. I have the 1900 and 1910 CD's and will keep my eyes open for your James Kenneth Hamilton as I go through them. TJ
Thank you Jeanette

Hello List, I now have my pictures on my website. There are some old unidentified ones as well as the ones I mentioned before. Go to Johnson and Maynor surnames for the pictures of the Johnsons and Sarah Maynor and her son John. My website is at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jewellfamily/. I hope someone can help me with some of the pictures. Lana
