List - - I want to remind all Fox Descendants of Samuel Fox ca 1730, Nelson Co.(Amherst) VA and his wife Elizabeth, of the Fox Family Reunion 2001 at the Fayette County Park, Beckwith, West Virginia Saturday, July 31, 2001 10:00 a.m. to ??. Would like for ALL descendants to plan to attend. Also, on Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. The Fox Family is dedicating a memorial stone for John Fox ca 1780 - 1850 and his wife, Lucinda Mathews; William Miles Fox, 1808 - 1877 and his wife Sarah Carey; and Susanna Fox Carey. The United Daughters of the Confederacy will dedicating a memorial stone for Felix A Wood at the same time. These dedications will be held at the FOX-WOOD CEMETERY established in the 1830's (Renamed Good Luck Cemetery in the 1920's). A sign will also be dedicated the same day. I would like to thank everyone who wrote with their stories of Ancestry problems and their advise on how to solve my problem. If you remember I had subscribed to the 1920 census on Ancestry, but after finding out that the census was not indexed I requested my money back. My request was denied. I posted this problem to all the lists that I belong to so that other buyers would be aware of what could happen. I was very pleased to get an email from a gentleman at Ancestry who belongs to the Roane County list. He promised to look into the matter and try to solve the problem. Well he did exactly what he promised, my credit card was not charged. He also followed up on his email several times to see if I was satisfied. I am very satisfied with the outcome of this problem, although I would say that this problem should never have reached this level. I would like to thank Jake Gehring for his assistance.
