Among some old photographs that my father-in-law handed down to me, I found a picture of Henry and Martha Morrison in front of the Freed Post Office/General Store. My father- in-law enjoys telling that he was "born in the city of Freed, a city that was completely destroyed when the Post Office/General Store burned to the ground." Does anyone know the dates, or approximately when that building burned? I know that Martha Morrison died Oct. 8, 1925, so the demise of the "city" would have been after that date. Does anyone know when the Post Office burned and what, if anything, is on that property now? Charlotte Morrison
