If anyone is able to help me with information on some teachers at Guyandotte Elementary in the 1940's (some may have been there in the '30's and 50's also), I'd sure appreciate it. I'm trying to add to the "stories" of my family by including info such as Census data, obits, and such for some of the teachers who taught many of my relatives. I've found Census data on Miss Jessie Keister, who taught second grade, and also received a copy of her obit from Cabell Co library. Others I'm researching include Ms Workman (1st grade teacher), Ms Sheets (6th grade), Ms Darling. There are others who's names I don't recall. I think I was lucky in being able to track Miss Keister, but I've not been so lucky with others. There are many "Workman" and "Sheets" on the 1930 Census for Cabell County, but I'm not even certain which teachers might have been living in Cabell in 1930. Thanks very much to anyone willing to share info (hard data and/or tidbits from your memories) about any of the Guyandotte teachers from the 1940's.
