Burns, the spouse of Alice A. Lewis, who died on 15 May 1931, his father was J. C. Burns, born in Ohio. The mother's name is not listed. This James C. Burns is the father of the Andrew Burns who was killed on 7 June 1934 by the train. Andrews death certificate states he was killed on the bridge when struck by a passenger train. I wonder if this was the railroad bridge that crossed the Guyandotte River as someone walking across that bridge would not have any place to get out of the way of a train if one were coming. My question is, where is the Burns Cemetery in Lincoln County? I know of one Burns Cemetery, also called Jackson Cemetery, that is located where Putnam, Lincoln, and Cabell County meet. You can get there by going out Balls Branch in Culloden or Sycamore Rd. in Hurricane, WV. Several references in the Heck Funeral Home records state this Burns Cemetery as being in rural Culloden, when it's actually in Lincoln County. Is there another Burns Cemetery in Lincoln County or is Andrew buried in the one at the three county junction?
