You are correct..... My Burns' family is the only one I know in Cabell Co and surrounding areas, from Ohio. I have heard the name Andrew Burns many times however, in my genealogical researches. I believe the Andrew I remember was from North Carolina and was in the Confederate Army..... Most of the ones I've researched were born and lived their lives in the Lincoln, Cabell, Boone or Putnam Co. areas. There is another Burns cemetery that I know of that is associated with the Burnses of Lincoln Co., but it's located just across the line in Putnam Co. I've never been there, but according to the list of cemeteries published by the Upper Vandalia Historical Society in 1990, the cemetery is located on Cherry Run, off Big Creek between Hamlin and Hurricane. ==== WVCABELL Mailing List ==== WV CABELL UNSUBSCRIBE DIRECTIONS [email protected] Unsubscribe <as subject> [email protected] Unsubscribe <as subject> Be sure you disable any signature files while you do it. ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived.
