    3. in 1955 thru 1960 Thomas & Rosa , lived at 949 Monroe , Ave. in 1961 Rosa is listed as a widow she was at same address till thru 1968 city directory , in 1969 she disapeared from the directory. She could have died that year or possibly was moved to a nursing home or other family members home. Obit for Thomas. dated Sunday 31 Jul 1960 Huntington Hearld Dispatch THOMAS EDGAR DUNCAN Seventy - eight of 949 Monroe Avenue , died at 5:30 P M yesterday at a local hospital.A Huntington resident for 52 years and originally from Summers County , he was a retired building contractor.Survivors are his wife Rosa: a son Edward B , Vinton,OH ; three daughters ; Mrs Carl Jacobs Indianapolis , Mrs D SYork San Antonio, TX. and Mrs W D Thompson , Huntington; nine grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.He was a member of the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church and Modern Woodmen Lodge , The body is at the Reger Funeral Home. A brief notice next day said buried in Spring Hill Cemetery.
