    3. William R. Heath (son of Israel Heath and his wife Elizabeth (Blue) Heath) and his wife Nancy Sanford had a firstborn son in Cabell Co VA named Nelson B. Heath, born in 1819. He stayed behind when the extended family moved on to Missouri. Nelson married into a prominent family in the area, the Porters. He married Sarah Porter on 29 March 1839. He has a somewhat tragic story as he died young, at age 34, leaving a widow and 6 children. He died at Tyler Creek, Cabell Co. VA on 21 Dec 1854. His Last Will and Testament, included in this narrative was dated 12 December 1854, just two weeks shy of his death. He must have been gravely ill and was aware he was going to die. Their six children were Joshua K (who is listed as present at death of his father), Juda A.M., John M., Eliza Druella, William B. and Sarah Elizabeth. Joshua K. died young due to injuries from the Civil War. He died in 1872. Juda A.M. died in 1861 giving birth to her first child, and the infant died as well, John M. lived to be only 17, Eliza Druella died at age 18, and William B died when he was just 20. Of the six children, only the youngest Sarah Elizabeth had a long life. She married John James Rousey. The widow of Nelson Heath, (the elder Sarah Porter Heath) was living with her youngest daughter Sarah Elizabeth in the Rousey household as late as 1870. There is one grave in the Cabell County cemetery list that is called ‘Heath Cemetery’ and in it is a lone gravestone for Robert ‘Dump’ Heath. Robert ‘Dump’ Heath was the crippled son of Nelson’s eldest son Joshua K. Heath who married Jane Ross and had two sons. This was one of them. ‘Dump’ was the nickname they called him because he was crippled. Robert ‘Dump’ Heath is buried on the property that was originally owned by Nelson Heath and Sarah Porter, his grandfather and grandmother, but was inherited by him from his grandmother. It is listed as ‘Cemetery 91-a’ in Cabell Co VA Cemeteries book by Carrie Eldridge.
