JOHN WESLEY HEATH (REVEREND) (b. 24 Oct1808-30 Nov1888), m1. 12 May1833 Judith McCOMAS (1811-10 July1850), m2.1851 Susan SMOOT (1815-1892). He was born in Cabell Co. VA as was Judith McComas. They met and married in Cabell Co., VA, and moved with other family members of both the Heath and McComas families to Platte Co. MO. Judith was a daughter of Moses and Lucy (Napier) McCOMAS in Cabell Co., VA. Five of Moses McComas’s children married five of Israel Heath’s children in Cabell Co., VA. before both families moved to Misouri..They came west in 1840 and settled in the "Missouri bottom", near Waldron in Platte Co. They later removed to the Brasfield prairie. John was a Methodist minister and served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He died in Platte Co. MO.
