For anyone researching Israel Heath and Elizabeth (Blue) Heath, I have lots of information and will share. Would love to hear from any other descendents. One of the more interesting notes about the family is that five of Israel Heath's children in Cabell married five of the children of Moses McComas and Lucy (Napier) McComas of Cabell. JAMES HEATH (1800-1864), m.1829 Chloe McCOMAS (1808-1864). He was born in Berkeley Co. VA and she in Montgomery Co. VA. They met and married in Cabell Co. VA. She was a daughter of Moses and Lucy (NAPIER) McCOMAS. He moved to Platte Co. MO in 1838 (son born in Platte Co 1838, Israel Love Heath). The entire Heath family moved to MO about this time period so he had his parents, many brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews in MO as well. James and Chloe died in Platte Co. MO and James was buried at the McComas Cemetery. He left no will, but his estate was settled in Platte Co. At the time of his death he owned three tracts of land, total 196 acres, in Range 35, Twp. 52, Sects. 34 & 35, Waldron Township, Platte Co. MO. His sister Nancy Heath and her husband Sanders W. Burke ‘Burk’ McComas owned the adjacent land, 160 acres. Moses McComas and several other McComas’s (Hiram, George) lived in adjacent township 51. James Heath died 3 Nov. 1864 in Platte Co. MO. The children of James and Chloe Heath were: Elizabeth HEATH (b.ca 1831), m.1856 William LAUGHLIN (b. 10 Feb 1856). She was born in Cabell Co. VA. They married in Platte Co. MO. Their child: Charles H. LAUGHLIN m. 15 May 1879 Clara M FREELAND George W HEATH (b. 1830 or 1834?) in Cabell Co. VA. Lucy HEATH (b.1832), m. William MALOTTE. She was born in Cabell Co VA. Clinton HEATH (b. 23 Aug1833-1906), m.5 July1857 Susan Margaret SEARCEY (1839-1920). He was born in Cabell Co VA and she in Platte Co. MO. They married in Platte Co. She was a daughter of Chrstopher and Helen/Ellen (Spencer) Searcy. Clinton was a farmer and they were Methodists. They moved to Southern Ca. in 1875. They died at Covina, Los Angeles Co. and are buried at Oakdale Cemetery in Covina. Their children: Martha Ellen HEATH (1858-1934) m. Amador COLTRIN. Mary J. HEATH (1860-1862) (Child) HEATH d. 1862 James William HEATH (1863-1916) m. 1887 Clara Bell LEGG (1863-1954) Sarah Anna HEATH (1865-1938) m. John DECK John Leonard HEATH (1868-1916) Joseph HEATH (1870-1930) m. Bertha JORDAN (?) Lewis HEATH (1873-1928) m. Mary KNIGHT Lizzie HEATH (1876-1877) Laura HEATH (1877-1959) m.1. Matthew MATNEY,m.2. Norman WRIGHT Henderson Garfield HEATH (1880-1946) m. 1907 Mary Lee ‘Leah’ NORTON (1887-1970) Ethel May HEATH (1886-1943) m. Minter STANTON Rebecca HEATH (b.1835) Israel Love HEATH (b. 5 Jan1838-11 Jan1888), m.1 Dec1865 Louisa Jane BALDWIN (1841-1915). He was born in Platte Co. MO. Israel Love Heath is buried in Old Farley Cemetery, Platte, MO. He served as a Justice of the Peace. Their children: Minnie Lee HEATH (1867-1872) William A. HEATH (1869-1923), never married James Leonard HEATH (1872-1945) m. 1920 Jessie Mable SHANNON (1884-1972) Ella Maude HEATH (1884-1951) m. 1906 Charles William BUCKLEY George Baldwin HEATH (1880-1949) m. 1903 Jennie Bell JONES Sarah HEATH (b.ca 1839). She was born in Platte Co. MO.m. 1st 18 March 1858 Isaac BABCOCK. He died Dec 1859. She married 2nd William H. Arnold. . 1860 census shows her living as widow w/ her dad and child James W. Babcock. The 1880 census shows Sarah (Heath) (Babcock) Arnold, now a widow living with the following children: James W. Babcock, age 21 b.ca. 1859 by 1st marriage, along with his wife Lurella Babcock, and William H. Arnold (Jr) b.ca. 1867, age 13, Charles C. Arnold, age 9 b.ca. 1871 and lastly George M. Arnold, age 7 b.ca. 1873. Sarah (Heath) (Babcock) Arnold was still alive in 1897 described as a ‘handsome and intelligent lady.’ Mary C. HEATH (b.1846), m. 3 Dec1865 Isaac W. WILSON. She was born in Platte Co. MO. Moved to CA. Aletha Angeline ‘Angelina’ HEATH (b.30 Jan1849), m.13 June1867 James L. GRAY. She was born in Platte Co. MO. They lived in Leavenworth, KS. Angelina was the 3rd wife of James. He m.1st 1852 Elizabeth Artman and m. 2 1855 Jane Zabrisky. They may have moved to Leavenworth, KS according to Paxton’s ‘Annals of Platte County’ written 1897. Their children: George GRAY b. 13 July1873 Fred H. GRAY b. 24 July 1880
