Hi Charlie, No, I have never heard of the name Vera Rose. County boundaries changed so much --- I am surprised we find half of our ancestors. My Rose family would have lived out in the country maybe on Twelve Pole Creek and would have been included in Wayne Co. VA/WV when it was formed about 1840 from Cabell Co. By 1850, Joseph Rose was listed in the 1850 Tazewell Co. VA Census at the end of household of his son Andrew Rose. In 1850 they were actually living in area of Tug River in McDowell Co. WV which was formed in 1858 from Tazewell Co. VA. I have searched the existing records at Charleston Archives and Library but it seems that no records exist for Wayne Co. VA before 1853. Thanks, Doug
