Hello List, The Cabell County WVGenWeb site has been undergoing renovation for almost two months and will soon appear with a new look. As you know, it takes time to change web pages over to a new format, so please bear with me as the site is redesigned. I am also fixing all broken links, invalid email addresses and typographical errors. There have been some test pages posted since I started and some have had the opportunity to view the new look. A lot of positive comments have been made and I'm sure everyone will find the site easier to navigate. There has also been a lot of new material submitted, which has been held back until the new pages go Online. New photos, family groups sheets, bible records, Cabell Poor Farm, and cemeteries will all be added when the update is finished and will be announced on the list. Some of you know that a member of my family is experiencing a life threatening illness. The most important thing right now is for me to be with her and my grandchildren as she recovers from surgery and undergoes chemotherapy. I am asking of anyone that will, to please remember her in your prayers. Her name is Candy, like me, and she is the mother of three children ages 17, 4, and 5 months. Candy - we've been where you are now. A cherished niece went though that scare after a double mastectomy six years ago and there is no fear quite like it. She's fine now and I hope the outcome in your family turns out as well. You'll be on my mind and in my heart.
