    3. Ironton, Ohio was also popular for the Huntington, WV area. Have several of my relatives from Hgtn. who were married in Ironton. Can anyone tell me the place in Virginia that was also a place of choice? I did know but can't remember. Also does anyone know if there is online access to the index for these KY and VA counties? 3. Funny I just picked up a copy of the marriage record at Cattlesburg, Ky for my grandparents who were married in 1915 in Cattlesburg, Boyd County, Ky. He was from Louisa and she was from Ironton. Both of their fathers had sent a note with them. The groom's father had given permission for the marriage because he was only 20 and the bride's father sent a note telling the bride's birth date as she was old enough to not need permission. (my grandmother was always closed mouth about her age as she was 25 when she married her 20 year old bride groom). The notes had been attached to the page in the register....wow is that fun!
