Hi there...   I'm not researching the Burgess line, but I know there are quite a few of you who do and I couldn't remember which list my Burgess surname friends are on, but I came across a 1830 census listing in St. Louis Tonwship, St. Louis County, Missouri for a George Burgess 3m<5, 1m 5-10, 1m 50-60, 1f 5-10, 1f 20-30. The image is on: Series: M19  Roll: 72  Page: 334   I know one branch of my own family migrated from KY down the Ohio river to the Mississippi River and eventually ended up in Texas, so thought this may tie into someone's WV Burgess family lineage....thought I would pass it back to ya'll...   If someone would like the image and doesn't have access to it, e-mail me and I'll look it up again and send it to you.   Hope this helps someone.
